Professor Gujja Gopal Reddy is presently Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari (Bihar). Former Member, University Grants Commission (UGC). He is Presently Member, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies (MAKAIAS), Ministry of Culture, Kolkata. Member, Board of Governance, Research Committee on Asia Pacific Studies, International Political Science Association Canada and Senior Research Fellow, ICSSR, New Delhi. Member of Advisory Committee, Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR). He was Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Science, Palamuru University, Telangana, He was a Principal, University Post Graduate College Osmania University, Hyderabad. He has been President and Vice-President of Indian Political Science Association (IPSA). A professional body of Indian Political Science Teachers, (Estb. 1938), Member, Executive Council, International Political Science Association, Canada and Member, UGC Expert Committee for the award of Major Research Projects. Dr. Reddy has been into Teaching, Research, and Administration for more than thirty-four years, He has guided a large number of students in their research endeavours. Has published thirty articles, four book reviews and six books. He has organized number of National and International seminars, conference and Webinars. He has attended international academic events in various countries. He has chaired, participated, and delivered Keynote, Inaugural and Valedictory Addresses and Special Lectures in seminars, conferences, refresher courses and orientation programmes throughout the country. He has handled two Major Research Project and one Minor Research Project of UGC. His main areas of interest are Political Sociology, Ancient Indian Polity, Indian Political System and Public Policy. He has received many awards including India - ASEAN Friendship Award from Center for Southeast Asian and Pacific Studies, Sri Venkatshwara University, Tirupati (2017), National Senior Political Scientist Award from Indian Political Science Association (2012) and Best Presented Paper Award from American Studies Research Center, Hyderabad (1999). He is academically associated with more than hundred Universities of the country in different capacities. A widely travelled academician, accomplished administrator, and popular orator.
