Dr. Sujit Kumar Choudhary, is Associate Professor and Head of Department of Sociology and Social Work. He obtained his MA, M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Most prestigious award UGC-Research Award (2016-18), Swami Vivekananda Excellence Award (2019), Glory of India, Gold Medalist (2019), Biography of the Year (2017), Bharat Vikas Award (2017), Jewel of India Award (2016), Shiksha Rattan Puruskar (2012) and Bharat Jyoti Award (2012) have been conferred on him for his meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role in the field of education and best academic foundational work in sociology discipline. Not only that he is also a recipient of UGC-Research Award (2016-2018) in the field of Sociology. He has completed 2 Research Projects. Dr Choudhary has published 31 research papers in international and national referred journals and in edited volumes. He has 2 books to his credit of international repute and has delivered more than 20 invited talks and presented 41 research papers in International and national conferences/seminars, including at the Harvard University, Boston, USA.
